
Hello there, not posted for a while what with work, Christmas and a new year holiday in the sun!
How many of you have decided on a new year resolution that includes food?
Here at Food Positive we have been researching around diet as you would expect, for a while now we have been thinking about the role of sugar in our diet....its loaded in everything we eat from the sauce we put on our burger to the sliced bread in our sandwich. The thing is, we dont need it and it could be contributing to much ill health including heart disease and diabetes.
With this in mind and the need to shed some weight as from today I am on an 'I quit sugar' program and will be journaling the experience here on the blog.
Today began with some porridge with a drizzle of golden syrup ( I know I shouldnt have had the syrup but I hadnt read the program yet!). Lunch was a small home made pizza...no sugar in that.
My problem with sugar is my cuppa...I have got it down to 1/2 a teaspoon and I have tried today to not have any but I really like just a little bit. I will keep trying as as soon as I have educated my taste buds I should get accustomed.
I will try to update daily but I cant promise...things get in the way!
