I have been refreshing my bread making skills over the past couple of days at a beautiful spot in Pembrokeshire.
Tom Herbert's ability and enthusiasm and my fellow students made for a lovely break-a-way from the hectic time here just now at Food Positive.
Tucked away in this idylic part of wales the 'Do Village' was the perfect spot for Tom bread course. Over a day and a half we covered so much ground and learnt an immense amount that I now feel confident enough to produce a multitude of varieties.

Bread making at college, all those many years ago, was never as much fun as the past couple of days have been.
And to add to the fun we were also extremely well fed with a delicious lunch, an excellent evening meal at the 25 mile returning there for breakfast (I can recommend the french toast with berries and creme fresh....yummy!) and a round up of the previous days events.
We produced so many varieties of bread from one basic batch, some soda bread and a sour dough, the picture shows some of them but we ate the pizza bases and the croissants!
